Rotherham Means Business – Great Success

Kinspeed attended the Rotherham means business exhibition at the New York Stadium Rotherham on 4th October 2012. The event was attended by 45 local businesses with exhibition stands along with a host of interesting speakers.

The location is very good and I would recommend it to anyone who needs exhibition or conference space. There was a lot of interest in our stand especially in the Ordnance Survey mapping solutions we were offering.

As we have just made Bluebell Wood our charity we took along a collecting tin, some raffle tickets and a bottle of champagne we had won from a supplier. We sold over £60 of tickets and I would like to personally thank everyone who entered the draw and it was particularly encouraging to note the support and comments of local businesses towards Bluebell Wood. The champagne was won by Katie Parker from Cyclerax in Rotherham and although we had to question whether she was in fact old enough to drink it (see picture below), she eventually proved she was 22!. It must be great to not look your age

We will be spending most of today chasing up the leads we received at the show. A final pat on the back to Michael Cullen and Lisa Froggett from the Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber for making sure the event went smoothly and tea and coffee kept flowing. If the Barnsley event goes half as well on 8th November 2012 it will be a resounding success
