Kinspeed Raise £1,030.50 For Cash For Kids

When I walked into the office on Friday, I was greeted to the sight of casual and superhero-y members of staff who were ready to celebrate superhero day for Cash For Kids. Everyone was in high spirits and were eager to donate their £1 for ‘dress down’ Friday. It felt like one of those days were a lot of work wasn’t going to get done…

Before we could set-up our area for our charity fun day, we were waiting for our kind and generous donation of burgers and sausages for our BBQ from Underwood Meat! However, we didn’t have to wait long before the van arrived and Kinspeed’s foyer was full of quality meat.

But, what is a Kinspeed event without a slight hiccup?

As our engineer was setting up the BBQ area, we noticed that the gas went to low when turned on. This prompted a quick dash to a variety of petrol stations to see if they could fill up our propane gas bottle before lunch time and the main event. Luckily, it wasn’t long until the gas bottle arrived full and ready to be used. Although, it was edging 1 o’clock before any of Underwood Meat’s produce was ready to be consumed.

Whilst our guests and office munched on burgers and sausages, Ian Wragg arrived in his banana man costume ready to be condemned to the stocks. Our Managing Director’s costume was kindly donated by one of our valued customers, Magic Toyz , who specialises in Fancy Dress Costumes and Party Accessories!

Once our Managing Director, Ian Wragg, was locked into the stocks it didn’t take long before people were swarming to throw sponges on behalf of other companies that had donated but couldn’t attend, or they slipped in some of their own money to throw sponges. With over £700 pounds worth of donations to throw wet sponges, lets say Ian spent all afternoon in those stocks…
