IT Professional Apprentice starts with Kinspeed

Joel Butkeraitis has joined Kinspeed as an IT Professional apprentice. Joel is a former pupil of Heritage High School in Clowne where he took his GCSE’s. He then went into further education to Chesterfield College and completed a BTEC in Media. He is coming to Kinspeed as an IT Professional apprentice through Baltic Training.

The Baltic training apprenticeship as an IT Professional offers trainees the chance to attend 1 week per month training in their centres with real computer industry qualifications available to the apprentice. These include Cisco, Microsoft and ITIL qualifications. The course covers the following subjects

Operating System Fundamentals

Network Fundamentals

System Maintenance

Functional Skills

Customer Service

Kinspeed MD, Ian Wragg, commented, “Joel came over well at interview and showed the interviewers his media skills via YouTube. He will be helping out in all areas of support including software support and assisting the engineering team at Kinspeed with hardware and networking”.

Joel is looking forward to starting and stated “This is a great opportunity to follow the career path that I have always wanted. As well as working in my preferred area I will also be acquiring Microsoft and Cisco qualifications through the Baltic apprentice scheme”

Joel came across well at his interview, his only downside being his passion for Sheffield Wednesday, and the fact he follows them throughout the country. Joel, Your MD is a Blade so don’t mention the Owls too much, or you could find your working hours are changed to include Saturday afternoon !
