Caught in the Webb | Kinspeed

Executive lunch with Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber at the New York Stadium, Rotherham 11.30 to 2.30 September 6th 2012.

Ian Wragg and Marc Crossland from Kinspeed were joined by Glen Banks from Lloyds Catering and John Parkin from PKN accountants for the executive dinner at the New York stadium in Rotherham with guest speaker Howard Webb who refereed the World Cup final in 2010, and who himself is a local Rotherham lad.

The stadium is a credit to all the people who made it happen especially Mr Stewart and I am not surprised that the crowds have more than double this year. Give the customers a pleasant environment and they will come.

The meal was very good and enjoyed by all and the room we were in was light and comfortable with good acoustics. Howard Webb was the after meal speaker and proved to be a very knowledgeable  likable and funny speaker. His denials of being a Manchester United fan continued and he brought the house down when he said the accusations were affecting his kids….. Wayne, Rio and Cristiano !. Having attended many evenings listening to mainly footballers speaking, his stories were very witty, and if you have a chance to attend a function where is is a speaker, I promise you will enjoy it.

Caught up with a lot of people who I have not seen in a while and I must compliment and thank the Chamber on putting on a no pressure, relaxed lunch, which I think we will all look back on with fond memories
